Brrrrr… we had to start the pellet stove over the weekend. It was mighty chilly at night in the house. We heat with wood as our main source but we try not to fire up the wood furnace until October. Looks like we might have to start it up sooner this year. Looks like the hubby will be cleaning out the chimney this week after work. Are you all ready for cold fall and winter nights?
We are getting ready too. We have an appointment to get our furnace cleaned and the filter changed. We also heat with wood as our main source and the chimney has already been cleaned out.
We are bringing in wood (to the basement) this weekend.
I wish we had a fireplace because I could use the extra warmth. We don't have a heater either. We are going to be wearing lots of jackets and blankets all winter!
We are not ready by any means, there are days when we get overcast like today and then some days when its still in the upper 80's. With our humidity we still need the A/C going, not full blast but still.
I am so looking forward to cooler weather, but unfortunately we haven't seen much of it yet. Our air is still on and it probably will be for at least another few weeks.
