My daughter does her homework by herself and I check it. It's been that way for four years. her school is pretty good about keeping homework consistent but not heavy.
I'm with you on this topic. My kids always need help with their homework and to be honest most times I have to look it up online to see how to do it. Times are changing that is for sure.
