Default Dr Oz: 3 Dangerous Food Toxins

Three Dangerous Food Toxins | The Dr. Oz Show

This is very eye opening. Dr Oz talks about mercury poisoning from some fish and then the toxin BPA in cans and plastics. I am going to totally change some things in my diet!

I stopped buying canned food a long time ago when it was suggested that aluminum may link to Alzheimer's. Now plastic is a problem too. Why can't they find a way to make our food supply safe? As for the pesticides, well, that's been a concern of mine for years, but organic doesn't always off the selection I am looking for. I just try to do the best I can to wash off the fresh vegetables I buy.

I have been concerned about the bpa for a while now. Having a child I knew about bpa in bottles and liners and we bought bpa free everything. I had no idea about the plastic containers and cans though!

It almost feels like there is nothing safe anymore, no matter what routes we take they all lead us to somewhere bad with something bad that we end up with. What is safe now?

I agree that really its a huge problem how many toxins are in our food. It's led to me avoiding canned food as much as I can, not using plastic storage at all. I cook everything I can from fresh-just take as many common sense measures as I can.
