Default Exercising

My cousin is getting married next year and I want to make a commitment to myself that I will lose weight before her wedding gets here. Plus, I need to lose weight because I've gained lots of weight since having my children. What is the best way to start out? I was thinking about starting by going for walks with my dogs or using my elliptical machine to help me start out.

The best excercise that has always helped me is walking. There is a park up the road from me that has a mile long track around a lake and I go there often. I also have a treadmill at home that I use. I walk 3-4 days a week and I do floor excercises such as squats, crunches, and curls with small weights twice a week.

Whatever exercise you choose, try to do it moderately and not force yourself too much. If you progress and lose weight too fast, it would be harder to maintain it.
