I'm puzzled about how a manufacturer can run out of stock. I am shopping for a particular coffee machine, but the shops are all awaiting stock, even the manufacturer's own site! The only place that has any stock, they are charging double the price!

Sounds like poor planning on their part. They obviously don't have a solid system in place so that production meets demand. I've wondered this, too.

Poor planning or people went crazy and bought more then they thought they would. Sometimes manufactures run out of parts, and they are waiting on their suppliers.
