Default Plastic Bag March

I was reading an article, in a magazine, while waiting to see my doctor. I thought it was interesting, so I thought I would share it. The article was about a group of people, in the summer of 2010, that covered themselves in plastic. The people marched the streets of San Francisco, as a public message of the dangers of single-use plastic bags. Each peeson wore about 500 plastic bags, because research said the average American used that many bags a year. So, what do you do with all your plastic bags?

That's really interesting. I can definitely see how somebody could use 500 plastic bags a year. I just don't know how you could wear that many!

I save my plastic bags and use them to clean out the litter boxes and for the bathroom trash can.

It is crazy, when you hear a number put on it. I would have thought we used more plastic bags. I use my plastic bags in my bathroom trash cans, too. I have heard that, some people who crochet, make yarn out of plastic bags.

I think we use way too many plastic products of all kinds from bottles to bags. I also use our plastic bags for trash. I really need to buy the reusable fabric grocery bags once and for all.

We use them for mini garbages in our house. It saves on the bigger garbage bags. We also use them for other things - so it seems like we always recycle them and use them a couple of times.
