Do you give members of your family practical gifts? You know things like clothes or the dreaded socks and underwear? We do a lot of practical gifts in our family, and personally I like getting things I know I will use.
I am a huge fan of practical gifts and/or gift cards so I can get what I need. We usually save our gift cards to places like Walmart for weeks when the grocery money is lacking.
My family LOVE getting practical gifts! It's getting hard to find disposable income to buy something pretty to wear instead of waiting until you really need something. It doesn't hurt my feelings a bit to get a practical gift instead of something I may never use.
Between myself and the better half have deal, the item has to be something that we can use (not junk to clutter the house up) and has to be something we need that we would not normally buy for ourselves. It makes for a fun challenge when shopping too!
I love practical gifts. My mom is great about getting practical stuff that I wouldn't buy myself too like body wash, poufs, and body lotions. I love to use them, but I won't take the money out of the budget for them.
