Default Repair men

Today we have 2 sets of repair men/installers coming out. One is coming to look at our well and gave us a window between 9AM and noon. The other is an internet installer who gave us a window between noon and 3PM. Do they think we have nothing better to do than wait on them or what? I have a hard time believing they can't narrow down the time a little more.

I can top that. We had one coming to check out our Dish and was suppose to be from 12-5, yes that big a distance. But, here's the kicker, he came at 9:30 AM! Lucky someone was at home so he could start the work.

Now that would have upset me if the repair man had come that early! Especially if no one had been there and you had to reschedule!

The morning thing is strange. Typically you should know when you get to the first job, although travel time can affect that.

But no two jobs are the same. Take the internet installer. Is it wireless or wired. Where is the modem to be placed and is there a connection there somewhere? How many different computer configurations are there? There are a lot of variables out there that can add to the install time.

Verizon just gives you the day, or at least they used to. They would say anytime between 8am an 6pm. I would have loved a few hour window.

I hate waiting for repairmen. I have thought about sending the repairman's company a bill for my time, since they are usually not on time no matter what they say.

Sue, I couldn't agree more. I swear my time is just as valuable as theirs. I have gotten the old between 8-6 before and that really blows. Especially when they are late or don't show up.
