Default Salt Water Pools

Does anyone know if salt water pools are better for your skin then chlorine pools? I've heard a lot of talk lately that they are.

I do not know, but I see a lot more homes are having salt water pools. I do not know if I would like that personally though.

I would think they would be just as hard on your skin as the chlorine pools. I don't think I would spend the money or the extra money on one. It's hard enough keeping a chlorine pool maintained let alone something else to worry about.

I don't think I would like that. I would rather have a chlorinated pool instead. It looks like they would be harder to maintain rather than a plain chlorinated pool.

I know there are a lot of positive claims regarding health benefits from bathing in natural bodies of water with high salt concentrations. I also know that chlorine really irritates my eyes, skin, and hair. Given the choice, I'd definitely give the salt a try!

Salt water has natural healing properties, but I don't think I would go so far as to have a salt water pool. From what I understand they are very expensive.

Salt water tend to erode metals like iron. I do not think it would be advisable to have a salt water pool in the home, except perhaps if your home is located near the sea. How are you going to get the salt water otherwise?

Yeah I agree with Artesia about salt water having natural healing properties. That's why it is advisable for someone who is suffering from certain diseases to bath in sea.
