Default A Sound Sleep

How do you get a sound sleep?

There are nights wherein I wake up often. I sleep light so this could be the reason why I awake easily. What can you recommend for me to get a good sleep?

I have no idea how to solve this problem. I've never managed it myself-I have struggled with insomnia on and off for many years. I wish I could move past it.

I use to sleep pretty sound but when I had my kids, I started to become a light sleeper and now I have a really hard time going to sleep. My husband snores really loud and I have resorted to sleeping in a different room but I can still hear him through the walls.

Chammomile tea with valerian root works well for me and it is a muscle relaxant too so it helps ease off headaches sometimes as well.

This works for me every time. I would definitely recommend it, hands down. I use valerian root extract and take it right before I shower. This gives it some time to work and when I'm done, I'm usually sleepy and ready to go.

I will try that kind of tea Izzie have mentioned. Where can we find these kind of teas? Are they commercially prepared or are we going to prepare them ourselves?

They are commercial yes, and at least in my area you can buy them in any store. They are easy to make, but can give some people a headache.

I would try to get a white noise machine or at least run the fan if you can find one that is not too loud. I usually have a fan I run because my husband works night shift and when he gets home he tends to put on the TV which wakes me up.

The only thing that helps me to sleep is a glass of good red wine Seriously, between the baby, my husband groping at me in his sleep, the cat, the dog, and my own mental lists that I have to go over and over, I haven't had a good night's sleep in forever. I don't spend my days completely dragging, but I don't feel 100% well rested either.
