Default Stress and brain size

I read an interesting article about stress and your brain. The article implied that stress can shrink your brain. Normal everyday stress is not harmful but maximum stress is harmful. A break-up, severe money problems, loss of a job, and loss of someone close – these all can cause your brain to shrink. The article stated that nothing could be done to counteract this. What do you think about this?

That is pretty interesting to think about and sometimes people think too little about stress. Especially now while having hard economic issues on the rise, we still need to remember that stress is a part of life and we can work around ways to be healthier (including not being stressed all of the time).
