Does anyone think being lucky has anything to do with being successful? I was in a dispute with my sister-in-law over this. I personally do not think luck has more to do with it, as she seems to think.

Luck? Only if you are rich because you won the lottery. I don't think rich means success either. You can be poor and be successful - with family and love. I don't think it's all about luck but you need a bit of luck to be successful.

Unless you hit the lotto to make your fortune no. Hard work is done and the rewards you receive being successful is what comes with the hard work. You get in what you put out of it.

I do not really believe in luck but I do believe in karma. And I am not knocking anyone for it either, people need to grow up and understand that some people believe different things. I had a very public debate with a friend of mine on this very subject this week already, can you tell?

I think luck CAN have a lot to do with being successful if you mean financially. I am not saying that this is always the case. However, sometimes the stars just line up right for people. They happen to run into someone who happens to need something they are selling, and a business takes off from it. That isn't to say hard work is not involved too, but luck is often involved in getting started.

I think luck comes into play for some people in the sense of being in the right place at the right time, but it just depends on personal perception if you want to construe it as being lucky, having good karma, or being blessed.
