Default Almond flour

I have been looking for almond flour to try out some new low carbohydrate recipes. I can't find it in an actual store anywhere. Does anyone know where to get some?

I have been making my own. Have you ever tried that? You can grind up the almonds and then you can add some ghee when you cook. It works really well!

I found some in a local health food store. You have to be careful with it though. It has to be kept in the refrigerator or the freezer or it will turn rancid on you. It is great to make desserts from. I love the taste of almond.

I've never heard of almond flour before. Thanks for the tip about it going rancid, Allie. That'll be good to keep in mind if I ever get to trying it.

I will have to try our health food store I didn't think to look their. I have found it online but it's already expensive so I don't want to have to pay shipping too!

I must be stuck in the dark ages then as I never really noticed more than one type of flour in my life. Now of course I need to go investigate at my store next time I am off shopping.

I finally found it at Publix! Man is it expensive though! $5 for less than a pound! I think I am going to try to find it online and see if I can buy it in bulk!

It is terribly expensive but it is delicious and makes wonderful baked goods. Cookies made with almond flour are soooooo good. I love almond flavoring in baked goods anyway so I bake with it occasionally.
