Default Anyone still use a breadmaker?

Does anyone still use a breadmaker? I inherited an older one from my Grandma's house, but the sides of the bread keep burning. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

May just be that it is old? I have one a long time ago but never really used it that much so ended up giving it away. I know several though that have them and love making all kinds of bread with them.

Oh yes, I use mine all the time. I love waking up in the morning and smelling fresh bread that was just made. Well I set the timer on it and it comes out just right. It does sound like the one you have may just be old if it is burning on the sides.

I just purchased a new one recently myself. I think I wore my other one out! I use it all the time. Once you get use to using one it's great. It can be kind of a bulky item if you don't have a lot of kitchen counter space or storage for one.

Well good to know that it's probably not me. I may just toss it and see about getting a new one. After I get my new foodsaver though. I'm going to need more counterspace!

I love mine! I make most of my bread and have done so for almost 5 years now. It's wonderful to open the door and smell fresh bread. I even make pizza dough and dinner rolls with my bread machine. I would have to buy another if this one died!

The wife finally used the one she got from her aunt. I love some home made breads. My mom makes a great herb bread. I could eat the whole loaf if I am not careful.
