Has anyone seen the new brown tomatoes that have come out. I can't remember the name of them but they are delicious!! I don't really like the way they look but they are yummy!

Seriously brown tomatoes? Nope I have not seen them. I would think that they were rotten and probably would never buy them. What did they taste like? Do they have a similar taste to real tomatoes?

No, I can't say that I have? We grow a lot of tomatoes but haven't come across this type. Wonder where you can get them to grow yourself?

They aren't genetically modified which was a big plus for me. They were native to the Spanish Mediterranean area. Here's an aritcle on them:

The ones I had were sweeter but not very big. They are just a little bit bigger than an ordinary cherry tomato, but they seem to have less acid than other tomatoes. As far as the price, they are too expensive right now until they become more widely grown. They are just a novelty for me right now until the price comes down.
