Default Burned up pan

I have a favorite frying pan - it's about 4 years old and teflon coated. My daughter was helping with frying onions and peppers for our sausage and she thought she turned the burner off. Well it was not turned off and now I have a burned up pan. How can I get it clean?

You might as well throw it away. The amount of time you will spend cleaning it will be crazy. I have lost a number of great pans that way.

I'm sorry, but I agree with jump on this one. Once it's been burned like that, there is very little you can do to restore it. Check and see if it's not warped too as that's what happened to every one I've done like this. Maybe your cookware set has open stock pieces that will allow you to just replace one pan?
