Default Burners?

HI all ... My burners on my stove don't work. I did have a couple working, but now they've become useless as well. I can't afford a new oven, so is there anything out there that is like just a single or double burner that I could just place on the stove? No gas. I want something electric. Is there such a thing that is not expensive?

There are electric single and double burners available. Look in the small electrical appliance sections of stores like WalMart, KMart and Target. They aren't too costly. I think $20.00 will buy a single.

Sometimes you can find a repair shop locally that may have some used ones they can sell you cheap. Just remember to take the burners which have burned out with you when you go because they have a lot of different plugs on the end.

I have a different problem with burners. Mine on the left side of my stove top want to stay partially on when the burner knob is turned off. Is there something that I can look at to see if I can fix it myself?

The repair shops are a good idea and some even sell very cheap redo's that you could get if you are able to yank out your older appliance and swap it out for the new one. This even works on limited budgets.
