Default Butter in a large plastic jar

I have to tell you I was at a Pig Roast yesterday and they had corn on the cob. The hosts had this big plastic jug of butter melted and you were supposed to dip your ear of corn into it.

Talk about gross! I'm not sure what they were thinking, I mean there was at least 250 of us there.

Have you ever seen anything like this with butter? Why not just have out sticks or something instead of this big mess? You can imagine what it looked like as the night went on and it hardened.

Wow, that is pretty gross! I'm sure they thought it was a great idea, no mess right - dip in your corn and it's buttered. I can't imagine being the 20th person dipping, let alone the 250th person. No thanks!

Gross isn't even bad enough for this. There is no way I would have attempted it. I can't believe people are so odd! Gross! How many people were there using the butter?

I don't think so. Talk about cross contamination! You could spread disease easily that way. I mean, the people there may not have had any disease but what if they did? It would pass to everyone!

Personally I think it would have been better to get several of those spray butter products and set all around. Or at least the squeeze ones. It would keep it much more sanitary!

What was the issue of being lazy though? If they melted it all down they could have easily used the little paper cup things that fast food places do for condiments. That seems like pure lazy on their part.
