Default Collard greens

I've always been a big fan of collard greens but I once had them prepared Brazillian style and it was fantastic. Here's the recipe that I like to use. I also add some sliced bacon to it, too.

Yummmmmm, that sounds delicious. I love greens anyway. We usually saute our greens too. I learned that a long time ago. My aunt used to take me out in early spring to hunt wild greens and you have never tasted anything that good in your life!

That's really interesting. I live in the south and people here cook collard greens for hours. I like greens, but when they have been cooked that long they can't possibly have any nutritional value left.

I like greens as well but I don't like mine cooked to death. All of the vitamins are gone when you cook them that way. I am going to try your recipe it really sounds good, I will let you know how it turns out!

That's the way I've had collard greens and I've love them the that way, too. You're right about overcooking the greens because all of the nutrition ends up in the water.

Whitewolf - I'll be interested in knowing what you think.
