When we bought this house years ago I moved in with about a dozen cookie trays. I have no idea where they wandered off to but this morning I had to go out (last minute) and buy 5 more for tonight's festivities. What the heck happened to my trays?
Well, you just know what is going to happen, don't you? Now that you went out and bought a bunch of new trays, you will magically find your old trays. That is how luck runs in my house, anyway! Happy New Years!
My first thought was maybe the kids took them outside to play with and they buried them in the dirt. That is something my kids would have done! Maybe start a serious interrogation!
My first guess would be that they are with the one sock that always disappears and also the towels that seem to vanish. It just amazes me how things just disappear like that and no one seems to know anything about it.
Did you perhaps give them away? You know fill them with cookies and give them to someone for a gift? I've done this. Be thankful - I bet they were on sale right? Tis the season to pick up your cookie trays, storage boxes for goodies, etc..
I have an issue with muffin trays. I remember once year someone in the house had made some muffins, something went "terribly wrong" and I came home to find all of the trays in the trash can because someone did not want to scrap out the dead muffins.
