Default Corn beef hash

I tried to make corn beef hash for the first time yesterday. I am sorry to say that it did not turn out well at all. I thought it was supposed to fry up and it did not end with that texture. How do you cook it?

Was it from scratch? I have never made it from scratch before. I have made roast beef hash before but only from the can. I just fry it on low for a while until it gets crunchy. I love the stuff.

I make it regularly using corned beef, left over mashed potatoes that have been mashed with butter and chopped onion. I fry the onion first until it's just translucent then mix the mash and chopped corned beef into it in the frying pan, mashing everything together with a fork. Plenty of salt, freshly ground black pepper and a splash of Worcester sauce and you're good to go. As it's already all been cooked, just fry it as you like it. I like a nice brown crust on the bottom.
