Default Creating your own brick oven

Emeril did a show on pizza yesterday. He came up with an interesting idea I am going to try. Go buy a couple of bricks from a home and garden store and place them on a rack in your oven. You can cover them with aluminum foil if you want to, but they will absorb the heat from your oven and cook your pizza evenly. You cook the pizza right on top of the bricks! I'm going to try that as that seemed like a pretty neat trick!

Amazing, I wonder how he came up with that? It does sound like it might work and what an easy way to come up with a "brick oven".

I've seen Alton Brown use bricks like that. forget what he was cooking, and it sounds interesting. Just never got around to trying it.
