Do you use an electric or manual can opener? I have an electric one on my counter, but I prefer using the manual can opener. I don't really see the point of an electric can opener unless a person has arthritis or something like that. I think I'm going to box it up today and get it off my counter once and for all.

We've had both and gone through a lot of them. I don't think the electric ones last all that long and neither do the manual ones but at least they are pretty cheap so you don't mind replacing it all the time.

I have yet to find an electric can opener that works like it should. I've bought the expensive ones and the cheap ones and it's made no difference whatsoever. I'd rather keep my old manual can opener which I've had for years.

I'm with you Oil. I can't find one that I really like. I find the electric ones to be a pain in the butt. The only problem with manual ones is that they don't make them like they used to. They are cheaper now and don't last that long.

I still have my grandmother's that attaches to the wall. It still works like it did when she had it. They just don't make stuff like that anymore. It's been used for over 40 years now and still going strong.

I prefer manual ones. I have actually never had an electric can opener in my married life. We went through so many of them when I was a kid. I always thought they were a total waste of money and counter space.
