After a whole summer of light dishes like salads and sandwiches. I am really looking forward to some hearty soups, stews, and roasts this Fall. It's so hot here you just can't eat stuff like that in the summer.

I know what you mean, Friendlygal. I am really hoping we get an early fall this year because I need a break from this heat. And I am also looking forward to making heartier, chilly weather foods.

I can't wait either. It was cooler today (67) and rainy, we made chili and chicken wings. I know not a great combo but both sounded good. I can't wait to make stews too!
