Default Favorite chicken wing sauce

What is your favorite chicken wing sauce? Do you make your own or buy it already made? It's almost Superbowl time and we always have wings. I would like to try out some new sauces - so any recipes would be great!

I don't really have any recipes but I like Ranch dressing with mine. Sometimes I like a sweet and sour sauce to go with them and then there are times when I don't use any sauce!

My hubby gets Cajun ranch wings when we go out to eat. I don't care for those. My daughter always gets sweet and sour - they are pretty good. I have not mastered the taste at home yet. Anyone have a recipe for that?

I love spicy so I start off with some spicy chicken marinade, then add my own ingredients from there. A few I add are tomato sauce, honey, garlic, cider vinegar, and spices including cayenne for more heat as well as cajun seasoning.

BBQ or a spicy herb mix are the two that we use most in the house but we have others that sometimes get used a little less than the two main ones. I guess it depends what our mood is but I would guess for every 4 chicken dishes made those two toppers are used 1/2 of the time.

I buy it from the store and I like Famous Dave's the best. We have never made chicken wing sauce before but it's something I would try to do.

I have tried to make my own several times without much success. There is nothing really wrong with the taste, I think I have just become accustomed to the less messy wings you can purchase in the freezer aisle. Tyson had a Tequila Lime wing available at one time that was amazing! I’m not sure if they still make them or not.

We like dipping wings in melted butter and then shaking them in a plastic bag that has fresh grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, a taste of oregano and pepper. Then we bake these in the oven for an hour or so. They are scrumptious.

I like to make my own chicken wing sauce, but it's very simple. We just buy a hot sauce or hot wing sauce that's on sale and mix it with melted Shedd's Spread - or whichever brand of spread we bought that week. Sometimes, we'll also add minced garlic that's been sauteed. Once we've mixed the sauce, we marinate the wings in it for a couple hours and then we grill them low and slow. Once they're finished, they are moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, even without frying!
