Default Figs

Do we have any fig lovers here? We have this really strange fig tree. It is loaded with figs still but all the leaves are dropping off and some of the figs are getting ripe. It's been a weird tree from the time we planted it. Just seems like we can't get several of them to get ripe at the same time.

I have never seen or eaten a fresh fig. I love fig bar cookies though. I would love to try some fresh and see what the difference is. I'm sure it's about like the difference between plums and dried plums. Good luck with your tree.

Are you talking about fig newtons? I used to love those as a kid and still swipe a bag every now and then from the store shelves.

I've never had a fresh fig either. I would love to because I hear they are delicious. I like Fig Newtons too, but I haven't gotten any in years. I have had fresh dates and they are really good.
