Default Focaccia

I'm going to be trying my hand at homemade focaccia again this weekend. The last time I made it the texture was okay, but the flavor was like chewing on a piece of cardboard. Any tips?

I would just really load up the dough with fresh herbs like rosemary, basil, thyme, and parsley. You should be able to see A LOT of herbs in the dough. Add a few handfuls of parmesan too (parmigiano reggiano if you have it).
