Default Frozen dinners

Does your family eat frozen dinners? I don't mean the single meals that they used to call tv dinners, but the frozen skillet and microwave meals that will serve the whole family. I have looked at them, but they are just full of preservatives and salt!

We have some but we don't eat them as much anymore. A friend of ours has been cooking us some meals that we can freeze that are a lot healthier so we have been doing that.

We will have some from time to time. Some of them are actually good and made healthy too. You just need to be choosy as to which ones you get.

Not many no. Some of the meals just taste bad when they are heated up. I am okay with the steamer veggie bags though, they tend to work a little better than the meat meals.

Gosh zimie wish I had a friend like that! Of course that would be the way to go if you could do something like that on the week ends for the following week, but I'm just not that disciplined. We have some once in a while not aren't to bad, just don't make a habit out of it.

The frozen skillet dinners sometimes aren't even enough for little old me. I'm not going through all that trouble unless I get two meals out of it. (I'm a big fan of leftovers!)

Not many no. My spouse and I are pretty picky and some of the stuff really does taste like what one would imagine when thinking about eating cardboard. I wish more places had prepped food ready but it also tasted good for busy nights.

This is why I freeze dinners. For instance, I have made two different crock pot meals this week. I double the recipe and freeze half then we have meals ready to go, and I know exactly what is in them.

I have, but they don't typically give you a lot of food for the cost or taste that spectacular. Homemaker is definitely right about the sodium.

We don't ever eat those frozen skillet meals, because they cost too much for the small amount of food that you end up with. I prefer to make my own homemade skillet meals from fresh ingredients, because they cost less to make, the food goes further and it tastes better.
