Default Haggis

Earlier this week was Burns night, and we managed to fake ourselves a nice haggis. We love the stuff, being of Scottish family, and can't do without.

So have you ever tried (or heard of) it?

I have heard of it, but I've never had it. Mike Meyers actually mentioned it in his movie So, I Married an Axe Murderer, lol. The name doesn't make it sound very appealing. What exactly is it?

I don't think I would like Haggis. I'm not Scottish and I know we probably eat some things that other people would say "ewwwww" to. We LOVE pigs feet and potatoes. I know that grosses some people out. Also pickled pigs feet are delicious and are a delicacy at out house.

Haggis is an offal product. Its spiced and seasoned, chopped offal (especially sheep's lung) with oats in it. Its not rolled oats, but big plump ones that are just lovely in the mix.
