Default Holy Cow, my new oven cleans its self!

I am so excited. I had a 30 year old oven and it has finally been replaced with a new oven. It even cleans itself! I am so excited I could just cook all day to celebrate.

Well, you still have to do a little bit of work, but yeah the newer ovens are a lot easier to keep clean than those old ones were! Congratulations on your oven, what did you get?

Awesome! I have to admit that I hate cleaning the oven too, even with the self-clean ovens. If you have not had one before it would be a real treat!

Congratulations on your new oven. I love the convenience of the self clean oven even if you still have to do some work. It's usually not a lot of work after it finishes but it gets awfully hot when you do it. Just be careful.

I have a self-cleaning oven too, and just so you know the first time you clean it it smells horrible and there may even be a little smoke. You want to wait for a day you can open the windows to do it!

I think mine should clean itself too but I have yet to actually figure it out, maybe I will look into that this week. I also heard some brands known for being "self cleaning" are not really good at their job, anyone know which?

Wreckedmess my oven is newer and "digital" so it just has a button on there for self-cleaning. After you tell it to clean and pick a cycle the oven door locks and it does it's thing. Homemaker is right about the smell though the first one is rough, but it's not so bad after that.
