Default Homemade Potato Chips?

Has anyone made these before? Is it just a matter of cutting the potatoes really thin and either frying them up or baking them in the oven? I'd like to give it a try but just not sure exactly how.

I have never made potato chips, but I have made kale chips before and they were pretty good. Definitely much healthier for you than potatoes, but kind of an acquired taste! Good luck with the potato chips!

You better try this way first cut it into thin pieces and let it get dry for one or two day so that the moisture of it get completely evaporated and then fry....

I've often wonder just how to make your own chips. but I would think that if you cut them like that Hayden and let them dry out they would turn all brown? Most potatoes will do that once cut and the air gets to them.

My husband makes really good potato chips. He slices them really thin and then shallow fries them in olive oil. Sprinkle on salt and pepper while they're still hot and they taste great.

Bella that sounds so delicious! I make my own french fries, but I've never made chips before. I'll have to try that for something different to make my family. I'm sure you could find a baked option that would be healthier, but what a treat!
