Default I Tried Sushi

In spite of all of my protestations about sushi, I was finally persuaded to try a bite. It was tuna with cucumbers in it. It was delicious!! I loved the seaweed that was in it too. I am now willing to try different sushi to see if I like those too.

That's more than I'm willing to do, JordansMom! I'm glad you were pleasantly surprised but I will NEVER try sushi. Just the thought of raw fish is enough to make me ill.

Gross! I am with deephollow too. There is no way I am putting anything like that anywhere near my mouth! I don't care how wonderful it is - no way!

Yuck! I just can't do it. I won't eat much fish if it's cooked but I definitely am not eating it raw. Kudos to you for trying it though.

You can make sushi without raw fish. I believe the California roll is all veggie. I've seen some places that will cook some of the fish. I love it anyway I can get it.

I don't really know why everybody thinks sushi is raw fish. Many, many sushi rolls do not involve any type of raw fish. To me it's like saying that you won't try a hamburger because you hate mayo.

I've had opportunities to try Sushi, but I passed. I just can't get over the thought that I'd be eating raw fish. If I could get over that, I'd probably like it.

There definitely is a lot of misunderstanding about what sushi is. Sushi is a reference to the rice used to make the roll and does not necessarily mean raw fish will be included in the meal. You can get rolls with cooked seafood, raw seafood, or vegetables.

I love sushi, of course I will only eat it at a restaurant who specializes in making it. I thought I was going to hate it too but after I tried it I saw what I was missing out on.
