Have you ever made Indian food at home? I'm making samosas and an eggplant curry this weekend and I am so excited. I haven't had Indian in forever and I finally convinced my husband to try it. Yummy, yummy.

Yes, I make Indian food quite frequently at home. I spent a several year span in the UK and they ate a lot of curry, and I missed it when I moved back home so I learned to make it myself.

It's the same thing here as well. When I was living in the UK, I used to have a lot of takeaways. Just before I moved to Hungary, I went to some Indian stores back in manchester and got myself loads of tandoori and madras spices. My favourite curry is madras chicken. I normally mix it up by adding some garlic and hungarian paprika. Tastes awesome.

I love curries with chick peas and then a lentil dahl... Yum! I can make it from scratch but nowadays I just use curry paste in a jar and I buy parathas from the frozen section of the oriental grocer.

TIP: If the curry is a bit spicy for the kids (or your partner!) I just mix in some sour cream...

I have never made Indian food but boy do I love it. Have any of you had issues with staining from all the spices and mixtures?

Also, how do you guys make your naan, if you make it. Do you use an open flame or put it in the oven?
