Default Kimchi

Has anyone tried kimchi? I think it's a popular Korean side dish. I saw some bottles of kimchi at a mart and I was almost tempted to buy one. It looks like shreds of cabbage soaked in some sort of red spice.

I haven't tried it either, but what I know is that kimchi is a fermented dish which is traditional in Korea. Kimchi is usually made of cabbage, radish, or cucumber. The spice, I think, is chili sauce or powder.

I have heard of it, but have yet to see let alone try it. Sounds almost like a relish or sauerkraut with a spicy kick.
