Default Kitchen Cabinet

I recently moved into a new house and there is one cabinet in our house that smells horrible. I am scared to keep food in it in case it makes it taste bad. I have tried a box of baking soda and that didn't do the trick. Any other tips?

What kind of wood are the cabinets made or or are they of wood? If it's a material that's absorbent, something may have absorbed into the cabinet that's lingered. Are there any signs of mold inside the cabinet? If so, try wiping it down with a bleach mixture to kill the mold. Other than that, I would call an actual cabinet maker and see if they have any thoughts.

I think replacing the thing is the way to go. Personally, when I have a problem with an odor like that, even if I manage to clean it and eliminate the smell, I would still smell it everytime I opened the door. Once it's stuck in my head that something is stinky it is forever stinky to me.

LOL @ Krissy. Well replacing it is not an option right now as the oven has to be replaced first. The cabinets are made of wood, and I haven't tried bleach yet. I'll let you know if it works!
