Default Kitchen Clutter

The clutter in the kitchen just seems to be so much that I don't know what to do with a lot of it. If it's out of sight, it's out of mind and months later, I find outdated food items. If it's not outdated food items, it's small electronics that never get used. I've got a relatively small kitchen and want to keep it neat but also not cram everything away all the time. Any suggestions?

What type of clutter do you have? I went through my kitchen a few weeks ago and got rid of a bunch of small knick-knacks that I realized I wasn't using. Have you tried the pot holder things? Where you can put hooks on the wall and hang up pots? That cleaned up some of my cabinet clutter.

I've got stuff running over in my kitchen but it's all stuff I really need. I do have some dishes I could store that I only use during the holidays (family heirlooms). I have thought of putting up one of those hanging things to hang pots and pans on but I live in a trailer and I'm afraid the ceiling joists aren't strong enough to hold that much weight.
