Default Learning About Lamb

I have never eaten lamb. I just bought some lamb shish kabobs but haven't cooked them yet. I haven't quite got past the baby sheep aspect but I've heard many good things about this meat. What are your thoughts on lamb? If you eat it, how do you fix it? What do you serve it with?

I've never had lamb. I don't know if I could eat it or not. I do know that deer meat makes me sick every time I eat it. It has too much tallow in it and I just can't digest it.

I enjoy lamb although I haven't bought or cooked it for years. My SO refuses to even try lamb so it's not worth buying just for me. When I did cook it, I only did chops because leg of lamb was darned expensive even back then. I find the chops are best when cooked in some sort of tomato base. For some reason, tomato complements the taste of the lamb. I think the acid in the tomato sauce may help to keep the meat tender, too.

What you people don't know how to cook lamb?! It's the most easiest of meats to cook. All you have to do is put some salt and pepper with a bit of rosemary on it and cook it till tender. I usually buy lamb steaks that cook in about 20 mins. Just wack them in the oven and easy as that. Serve with mash potato, peas and gravy. Simple as that.
