Default Meat Tenderiser

I have discovered a fantastic meat tenderiser and it's American! It's made by Deni and consists of a plastic handle containing 48 razor sharp blades. We don't have anything like this in the UK. It works a treat!

Oh I have heard of these. I saw one advertised on Amazon.com and they do look good. Do they work as well as the mallets? This is what I use on my steaks.

I've never used any mechanical devices to tenderize my meats. I do use the shake on tenderizer to tenderize any and all cuts of meat and it works well.

I have a tenderizer that I purchased from Pampered Chef that I love. I don't use it often because I'm a big marinating fan, but there are a few recipes where I have to use one.

I know the type you mean and have seen it recommended on cooking websites. You press the blades into the meat and the cuts are so fine that they cut through the sinews. It makes marinades sink into the meat easier too.
