Default No cake carrier

I don't own a cake carrier-I threw my old one out because it was looking...old. I've tried toothpicks on top of the cake before wrapping it in plastic wrap. I don't need to actually carry it anywhere I just need to keep it fresh until I can eat it all. Any tips?

If you order pizza and they give you those white plastic table things that keep the box top from meeting the cheese, save those. They work great in that situation.

I have two cake carries. One has gone missing and the other (which is the rectangular one) has become the bread box. I am in the same situation. I like jumps idea, but out local pizza places don't use those anymore.

I keep mine fresh by keeping it in a Tupperware cake carrier. The only other thing I can think of is to cute the cake up and put it into some other storage container. You want to keep the air off from it.

They sell some now at any dollar store for less that $7 each. I bought a couple of them and use them all of the time. I even found some of the cupcake tins that have a plastic top on them so you don't even have to take the cupcakes out of the pan. You can frost them and decorate them and then just put the plastic over it.

Thanks for all the tips. The closest dollar store is just that...nothing more than a dollar but there is a bigger one not too far so I'll be sure and check that one out.
