Default OUT of the Kitchen? :-)

Since it's Mother's Day, have any of you other moms been taken *out* of the kitchen today? I was taken to Chinese takeout buffet for lots of good stuff and my sushi. Yum!

As an extra bonus, I got to see a cousin of mine. I haven't seen him in very VERY many years.

sounds like you had a nice day so far katharina.. Mother's Day over here is in March, and I took my mum out for a nice meal after taking her shopping for a new outfit.

It wasn't mothers day for us, but my husband cooked yesterday, he often does at the week end. Food tastes so much better when you don't have to cook it yourself.

How nice of him! It sure does taste better when I don't have to do the cooking! I should hint around more often and maybe my husband would do the same.

somebody else's cooking always tastes better.. Sadly my hubby can barely fry an egg without using at least 3 saucepans and a dozen items of cutlery.

Ah, I'll bet I know where this is going! And after he fries that one egg dirtying all those dishes, it's not he who has to clean it up and wash dishes and you end up wishing you'd done the cooking. Pretty close? If so, been there and wear the tee shirt. hehe

My son is like that! I have never seen anyone make such a mess! Then I have to nag him for what seems like hours before he will wash the dishes.

I missed out on the DVD... darn! BUT having to wash dishes for being waited on with tea and chocolate... well now that's a tradeoff I think I might enjoy!
