Default Plastic containers

All this hype about plastic containers is making me nuts. I've known for a while not to put them in the microwave, but I read an article the other day that said not to put them in the dishwasher either. Apparently the hot water in the dishwasher will cause that BPA stuff to come out and seep into any food you put in it. I hate hand washing so that's not happening. Has anybody seen stainless food storage containers? Or any other material that isn't plastic?

I think everything I have seen lately is plastic. I still put it in the microwave from time to time. Usually because the food is frozen and cannot get it out until I heat it up a little. I would not mind getting something better then plastic as they tend to break a lot.

Some people forget? Who knows, just the other day my better half left bread in a plastic wrap atop the convection oven. Guess what happened? Yea, that was fun to clean up.
