Default Thrifty grocery tips

Hi All! I am a stay at home mom and trying to keep it that way but we need to trim our budget a little. Does anyone have any thrifty cooking tips or recipes or anything I might could use?

Legumes go a long way in trimming a grocery budget. We have beans or lentils at least two to three times a week. I also make my own bread which is delicious and also helps me to save some money.

We also have lots of dried beans. We cook them in the crockpot with a pack of onion soup mix and just cook on low for about 8 hrs. Rice is filling and cheap as well so we have lots of rice and beans.
