Default Veggies from garden tossed together

We have summer squash, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots and peppers from our garden right now. I'm going to toss them all together into a salad - what kind of pasta should I add?

If you're making a pasta salad, I would use any kind of cut pasta. Shells, rotini, ziti, etc. I know some people who make pasta salad with long pasta, but I prefer it with the shorter, cut styles.

Not sure what it is called, but I love the spiral pasta in salads like that.

The spirals are called rotini, I use those often. My cousin used some really small like small balls pasta in her last salad. She also put in black beans. It was good and different. I'm not sure what that kind of pasta was.

I like the bow ties too when making pasta salad. I was hoping more people responded with different pasta's.

Isn't that a nice thing to do, being able to go out to your garden and pick a bunch of veggies and fix for dinner? As to the pasta, I'd just pick what you like best.

We did that with our garden also. And yes it is a nice thing to be able to do. I actually put up a bunch of pickled squash and it's just about gone. We are planning on putting in a fall garden in a couple more weeks. As to the pasta, I'd also say use what you like best. If it happens to be the long kind you can always break it up before cooking.

I like picking what you like the best too. You can always just go to the store and grab one you have never used before. It's a good way to learn the different pasta's out there.
