Default Ways of making French Toast?

Just wondering how some of you here make your french toast? I know there are a lot of ways of making it and I would love to hear them! I usually just beat up some eggs with cinnamon and a touch of salt in them, the dip the bread in it and fry in butter. How about you?

I like to get that Texas Toast bread and use that. I sorta do it the way you do with the cinnamon in the egg, then cook it in the butter. But, after that I just like to put soften cream cheese on it with maybe some fresh strawberries or other fresh berries we may have. Really good! More like a dessert though.

I use French bread from time to time. I don't use salt! Yuk! We do use cinnamon too and then make it just like you said. The kids love it with fresh berries and whipped cream, and I love it with syrup!

I use cinnamon, sugar and beaten eggs mixed together until the sugar dissolves. Then I dip the bread in the mixture and fry it quickly in a hot skillet. Then I either serve it with confectioner's sugar sprinkled on or with maple syrup. I love french toast.
