Default Who is your favprite tv chef?

Who is your favorite tv chef? I love Rachel Ray. She makes "normal" food that is not outrageously expensive and out of reach for most. Tyler Florence is a close second though and he's cute too!

I like Rachael, too... and I've made some of her recipes. But first place for me goes to Paula Deen. Now there's some real home cooking! I also like Ina Garten but only for her classiness and calming voice.

Paula Dean is my favorite. She makes some great down home food. Sometimes when I'm watching her program, I get up and cook something she is making. I can't help it, she makes it all look so yummy.

How can something with all that "cup of looooooooooove" (aka butter) not taste good? I haven't made anything while she was cooking it yet, but I do look up the recipes that look best on the website and make them later sometimes.

I'm going a different way on this one. The chef I find the most interesting and fun to watch is Chef Gordon Ramsey. I love Kitchen nightmares, and He**s Kitchen (not sure if I can write the name). I think he is an amazing chef and very comical too.

The chef I like the most for finding new recipes is Rachel Ray. I think we own every cookbook she has out. My daughter loves her! I love the 30 minute meals, although I'm sure each one would take me an hour!

Kris, as I said above, Ramsey is the one i enjoy watching most too..

I love watching Rachel Ray, she's always so lively and entertaining. Plus the dishes she makes are the ones that almost anyone can do, even the ones who don't know squat about cooking, like me.

Ah, you just reminded me to complete my Amazon order. I poked around for some cookbooks under Amazon used section last night and I was amazed that some of Rachel's are very reasonably priced and in good condition. One was like 50 cents.

Alton Brown is the winner for me. I think he is a genius in the kitchen and I love the way he explains the science behind what he is doing. He doesn't just tell you, "Do it this way." He says, "Do it this way because..." Brilliant!
