Default Any Cross-Stitchers?

I used to cross-stitch in the past but I haven't now for a very long time. My daughter loves it and can come up with her own patterns. It always amazes me how she can do that when I can even mess up the counted stuff.

I admire anyone who can handle yarn, I'm about all thumbs. What patterns does your daughter favour, either made up by her (and I'm really impressed she can make them)or bought?

She prefers the ones she makes herself and doesn't want the bought ones any more. Like she was doing a sampler for a guy who likes history and airplanes... and decided to start stitching a plane from WWII... it turned out *great* and I was amazed at how she does things like that... as I always am.

I was about to make a new thread about cross stitching and then I found this at the very end of this section.

I also do cross stitching as my past time activity. I have made 3 patterns already including the Serenity Prayer with the background of a tree.

I used to do cross stitching but haven't in a long while. I used to do the ones that already had the picture printed on them but I am not sure if I could find any of those that I like now. I have to have those because my eyes really suck doing close up stuff like that.

I love to cross stitch, especially in the winter. It's the perfect hobby to do while sitting in front of the fire. I do the counted cross stitch, but you can probably find the ones with the printed pictures in a large hobby store like Michael's. If not there, eBay actually has a pretty big selection of cross stitch patterns.

I did some cross-stitching when I was in high school. My mother would buy me a pattern and I will do it on my free time. I have not tried using the cloth with the picture in it and I think that is much easier to make.
