Default Baskets good teach gifts?

Do you think making baskets with homemade goodies would make a good teacher gift at Christmas? I am thinking of making these for my son’s teachers. I would include homemade bread, jam, jelly and probably a couple of candles. Thoughts?

Sounds like a wonderful gift to me, while your at it, I would be pleased to receive a goody basket too! To me, anything handmade, especially bread, is a great gift.

I want in too - the basket of goodies that is. Can you send one to me too. I would love it. I think it's a wonderful idea for a teacher gift. Teachers get a lot of "stuff" they can't use so I'm thinking this would be a welcome surprise to them.

I really do think that gift baskets are great for teaches. I used to give them to my teachers at the end of the year. I think it is a very nice idea and I'm sure they will appreciate it.

I think it's an excellent idea too. I bet they would love it. I would even toss in a gift certificate to Staples or something like that. So many teachers buy their own supplies for kids.

Homemade goodies are a great idea. Don't overdo it, just a small basket with a few things will suffice. I also love the idea of including a small gift certificate if it is within your means. I'm sure she could use it to buy classroom supplies.

I like the idea for elementary school teachers. Anything above that seems to me that it would be a bit too much unless they played a very special role the child's education.
