What do I need to start scrapbooking? I want to give it a try, I have so many pictures that are laying in boxes. I was thinking of having a scrapbook party with my friends and some of my daughter's friends. What would I need?

The first thing you need is an Album. This might be the most important choice in the beginning of a scrapbook project because, in this case, you want to be able to judge a book by its cover.

My first project was to re-do my wedding album. The spine had broken and it was very bland. I bought an album where I could add plenty of easy-to-find pages/page protectors to.

I would go with one event and start there. Choose a color scheme. For mine it was an off-white in floral print and pink paper. I chose some lettering I liked and a black pen (for notes I wanted to make).

I'd look at online or scrapbook magazines for ideas. Keep your first venture relatively simple. I had a lot of fun with my first endeavor and my experienced scrapbooking friend helped a lot.
