Does anyone make braided rugs anymore? My mother used to collect all of our wool clothing and blankets that wore out and then send it to a company that would cut them and make a rug out of them. I can't even remember the name of the company, but those rugs wore like iron. It took years for them to wear out. I wish I still had those.

I have never heard of sending your scraps to a company and having one made, but people do still make the braided rugs at home. You don't have to make them out of wool but rugs made out of other materials won't last as long.
