Default Calm down jar

I saw this on a parenting website, and they were using it as an alternative to timeout. I'm not planning to use it for that, but it is like a snow globe and my daughter LOVES those. All you do is take a clear container with a lid (originally they used a glass jar, but my child is only 2), then add 1 tablesppon of glitter glue for every cup of hot water you need to almost fill the jar, add some regular glitter and screw on the lid. Shake it up and voila your own calm down jar...or snow globe.

This is really cute! I had an old plastic mayo jar in the cabinet, some glitter glue, and glitter so we made a blue one. My daughter loves it, and has been playing with it all day!

Very interesting concept. Kids do like to play with things like that, but would they know they did something wrong if you gave them something to play with? I'm not sure this is a good alternative except for very small children.
